Audience members interrupted the Republican debate on Thursday with chants in support of Rand Paul, who was not included in the main-stage debate and chose not to participate in the undercard debate.
"We want Rand! We want Rand! We want Rand!" the audience members chanted.
It was not immediately clear how many people participated in the chant, or how the debate organizers dealt with them.
A recent average of national polls gives Paul about 3.8% of support among Republican primary voters, RealClearPolitics reported.
Some social media users took the opportunity to crack jokes at Rand's expense.
Screaming "we want Rand" in high-pitched baby voices is very effective. Well done, few people who just did that.
