This Strange Metallic Blob Does Something Really Creepy

This is way cooler than silly putty. Filmmaker Ian Parks captures the strange occurrence in a series of time-lapse videos.

Like something out of a sci-fi movie, magnetic putty will eat other powerful magnets that are are directly in its path.

That's because the silver cube is a rare and strong neodymium magnet that magnetizes the iron in the putty, which turns the putty into a temporary magnet.

A neodymium magnet will even attract 100 pounds of magnetic putty.
