Oliver Sacks is probably one of the most interesting people of all time. Sacks experimented with drugs in the 1960s before he became one of the most famous neurologists of all time. He originally intended to become a researcher at a university, but he was exiled to work in a nursing home. His failure lead him to become a writer and he wrote fascinating books about music's effects on the brain.
