Boko Haram gunmen kidnapped eight more girls in northeastern Nigeria late Monday, according to Reuters.

It has been three weeks since the extremist group Boko Haram kidnapped nearly 300 Nigerian school girls on April 15. Nigerians are increasingly angry that so little is known about their plight — and the situation of the girls and their families is worsening each day.

Some Nigerians are also angry that parts of the international media were slow to report the story. But now activists worldwide are increasingly being heard. They continue to take to to speak out about the missing.

On Monday, Boko Haram released a video in which its leader admitted, "I abducted your girls," and threatened to sell them as brides. That same day, Nigerian police detained the leader of Nigeria's homegrown movement set up to find the girls.
