Denmark Released This Sexist, Violent Video In Order To Get Out The Vote

"No hipsters were harmed in the making of this film."

Meet Voteman, the uber-violent and over-sexed cartoon hero Denmark's Parliament publicized on their YouTube page Monday to encourage young people to vote in this month's European Union elections.

But (surprise?) by Tuesday the Danish Parliament removed Voteman — turns out his misogynistic, violent ways weren't such a hit among Danes, The Guardian reported.

See, once Voteman was a simple Dane who didn't vote in EU elections, which determine EU issues like climate regulation — and the amount of cinnamon in a cinnamon bun. Then he saw the error of this ways, bulked up and... started violently killing people.

Turns out this hipster-chomping civic campaign cost taxpayers $36,900, according to Global Post.
