A trial date has been set for the alleged Boston Marathon bomber.
A Massachusetts judge in U.S. District Court set Nov. 3, 2014, for the start date for the case against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Trial is expected to last 12 weeks.
The 20-year-old Tsarnaev is charged with carrying out a terrorist attack that killed three people and injured more than 260. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
The November 2014 date is far earlier than the September 2015 start that the defense was requesting.
Analysts expect that the start of the trial will inevitably be delayed to allow both sides enough time to prepare.
