Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina argued Democrats don't really count women who don't agree with them.

"I think the Democrats have played identity politics for so long, that they have come to a place where if you don't believe as they believe they don't think you count as a woman," Fiorina told PJTV.com during an appearance in Iowa over the weekend.

Fiorina, who added she found it "offensive as a woman" is one of two female candidates running for president in the Democratic and Republican primaries.

"So I find that offensive as a woman," added Fiorina. "I mean I think Democrats want all women to think the same way, the way they do. So Hillary Clinton, for example, said right here in Iowa actually last year, she said 'Well, it's not enough to be a woman you have to be a woman that believes.' Then she goes through the liberal litany. And I find that really offensive, every issue is a woman's issue, we're half the nation, we're more than half of voters. We don't agree on everything and we care about every issue just as men do."

Fiorina said she was "not running because I'm a woman." She said identity politics only further divides us as a nation.

"I'm not running because I'm a woman," said Fiorina. "I've never been a token in my life. I just happen to be a woman. And I think the point of this nation is that everyone, regardless of what they look like, or who they are, or where they come from, every American should have the opportunity to use their God-given gifts and fulfill their potential."

"That's what we need to strive for in this nation and I actually think that Americans want to be united again. They know we are divided which is what identity politics does and they don't like it."
