Will Ferrell Reprised His Role As George W. Bush For "SNL"

"The field of Republicans out there is so messed up, I figured, makes you miss me, doesn't it?"

Saturday Night Live great Will Ferrell didn't miss an opportunity to reprise his famous role as George W. Bush so he could roast all the presidential Republican candidates.

George W. Bush: "The field of Republicans out there is so messed up, I figured, makes you miss me, doesn't it?" #SNL

Ferrell appeared in SNL's opening sketch as Bush, who had quite the announcement.

"I've made a big decision. I'm entering the race for president of the United States of America."

"The field of Republicans out there is so messed up," he added. "I figured, makes you miss me, doesn't it?"

Bush on Trump: "Whenever I get in a bad mood I picture his big fat orange Oompa Loompa face and piss my pants." #SNL

"I'm telling you I can beat these guys," Ferrell said as Bush 43.

"Dr. Ben Carson — I can barely hear him when he talks," he said. "I tell you something, that's not going to work when you have to go to China or Azerbaijan, where you have to talk loudly so they will understand."

"Next, Carly Fiorina. I like Carly — She's got guts. She got fired from her job. She got her butt kicked in a senate race. She's not qualified in anyway to be president. In many ways, she reminds me of me," he said. "But she isn't me — I am me."

"Cruz and Rubio, Rubio and Cruz," he said. "Sounds like a Miami law firm. If you've been injured on the job — call Rubio Cruz."

On Trump: "Then you got this knuckle head... Whenever I get in a bad mood I picture this big fat orange Oompa Loompa face and piss my pants."

On his brother Jeb Bush: "You gotta admit, it's a pretty good plot twist that I turned out to be the smart one."

Ferrell fans were not disappointed by his opener:

Will Ferrell has still got a perrrrfect George W. Bush impersonation in his back pocket. #SNL

It's a funny thought, but we think Ferrell and Bush agree, the past is over.
