Robin Thicke And VH1 Laugh Off Questions About Misogyny

Thicke's Q&A session was flooded with questions about his treatment of women, but the response was simply: "What controversy? Hahaha."

VH1 tweeted Monday night to submit questions with #AskThicke for an online Q&A session that would be held the following day with Robin Thicke. The hashtag was immediately flooded with queries about misogyny.

.@robinthicke is here ready to answer your questions! #AskThicke

On Tuesday, people continued to engage the hashtag in much the same way:

The world my kids will grow up in is less safe because of Blurred Lines. How can you fix that @robinthicke @Pharrell? Delete it? #AskThicke

#AskThicke Once you've cracked 'hug me', any thoughts on what rhymes with 'misogynistic douchebag'?

#AskThicke don't you think this is an ironic hashtag considering you're not one for asking?

During the Q&A session on Tuesday, Thicke answered about 10 questions:

Yes because our child comes first RT @MissayMelissa11 Do you still talk to Paula? #AskThicke

Most questions and answers were pretty silly:

Cause smart people know better :) RT @JT_Gunner #AskThicke Why do fools fall in love?

Too much upkeep RT @ballaterbboy #AskThicke Why don't you bring back the locks, bro?

There was even this:

*cartoon blink* RT @VH1 Because "Beatrice" didn't have the same ring to it RT @VH1Music Why did you name your new album "Paula"? #AskThicke

But a few questions were answered that were more serious:

Why didn't you write a whole album for her when you were WITH her? #AskThicke

.@meisriri She's always been my muse only this time from a distance #AskThicke

Yes, the most RT @FreakieChris Was Paula and emotionally challenging album to record? #AskThicke

Although, Thicke's response was basically "listen to the album" to find the answer:

If you cherish #Paula as much as you say, why can't you respect her desire for space & time to think & heal? #AskThicke

.@tnwhiskeywoman If you listen to the album you wouldn't ask that question #AskThicke

VH1 and Thicke both laughed at the "controversy."

What controversy? Hahaha #AskThicke

Thicke also said he could "handle it" and called himself "a big boy."

I'm a big boy. I can handle it. RT @IamEast Man people are brutal on this #AskThicke
