Protesters March In Washington, D.C., Demanding Justice For Michael Brown

A large crowd gathered in Washington, D.C. Saturday night to call for justice in the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old black man from Ferguson, Mo.

Protesters peacefully marched in the Chinatown area of Washington D.C. Saturday night demanding justice for Michael Brown.

Since Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old black man, was fatally shot two weeks ago by police officer Darren Wilson, protests have gripped his hometown, Ferguson, Mo.

The news in Ferguson has impacted people across the U.S. and protests calling for justice for Michael Brown started to happen less than a week after his death in major cities throughout the country.

Washington, D.C. has seen several rallies for Brown, held outside the White House, in Meridian Hill Park, at Howard University, as well as in other parts of the city.

Protesters gathered in D.C. Saturday around 7 p.m. in Mount Vernon Square.

"We stand to demand the arrest of the overseer Darren Wilson."

Police closed parts of H and 7th Street as protesters marched peacefully through the area, NBC News reported.

People in buses were seen supporting the protesters, even though they weren't able to drive through the shut down area.
