Following the on-air shooting deaths of journalists Alison Parker and Adam Ward, reporters across the U.S. took to social media to express their solidarity with the Virginia news station.
WFAA stands with WDBJ
A shooter opened fire on the WDBJ news duo Wednesday morning while they were conducting an interview in the town of Moneta, Virginia.
Vicki Gardner, who was being interviewed by the news team, was listed in stable condition after also being shot on air.
Authorities identified the shooter as former WDBJ reporter Vester Lee Flanagan, and said he killed himself after the deadly attack.
In response to the shooting, broadcast journalists across the U.S. started posting photos to social media with the hashtag #WeStandWithWDBJ to show their solidarity with the Virginia news station.

Some also asserted that they were "not afraid" to continue doing their job, despite the public shooting.
