Israeli Forces Kill 2 Palestinian Suspects In Fatal Abduction Of Teens

The two Palestinian suspects were allegedly killed during a shootout with Israeli Defense Forces in the West Bank.

In an overnight operation, Israeli Forces said they killed two Palestinians, who are suspected of murdering three Israel youths in June, during a shootout.

The fighting happened before dawn on Tuesday in the city Hebron in the West Bank, a statement by the Israeli military said.

An additional three suspects, all in the Qawasmeh family, were arrested during the event, Israeli's daily newspaper Haaretz reported.

On June 12, the three teens—Naftali Fraenkel, Gilad Shaer, and Eyal Yifrah—were kidnapped and believed killed shortly after. Their bodies were found on June 30 in Hebron.

In August, Hussam Kawasme, the suspected mastermind behind the kidnappings, was arrested, while Marwan Qawasmeh and Amer Abu Aisheh, who are believed to have carried out the actual kidnapping and killings of the teens, remained at large until now.
