The high school senior was too ill to attend the official photo shoot.

Kevin Titsworth was first diagnosed with cancer when he was nine years old.

Last October, as he was starting his senior year at Thorton Fractional South high school in Lansing, Illinois, he was told it had returned as an aggressive form of Leukemia.

Titsworth's friend Shawna Prohaska told BuzzFeed News that before his diagnosis he was in the marching band and was a football fan. Here he is posing NFL player Pierre Thomas.

Thomas even wished him a happy birthday during his treatment. His family set up a Go Fund Me page to help pay for medical bills.

Kevin continued to participate in as much of his senior year as possible. He attended his prom and graduation, but was too ill to take his senior photo.

So two of Titsworth's friends brought his senior photos to him.
