Techies Earn Their Place In The Park

San Francisco's iconic Dolores park has a new section: "Appville."

Dolores Park, the quintessential microcosm of San Francisco's Mission district, has long been informally divided into different scenes, much like a high school courtyard. There's Gay Beach, Hipster Hill, and Atomic Family Land.

And now, a new addition: an area known as Appville, coined by the people behind Open Source Maps. There is no denying it: techies have fully infiltrated the Mission.

(However, the mapmakers forgot Burner Zone, currently in full force fire-twirling mode, gearing up for the playa.
