Joey "Jaws" Chestnut proposed to Neslie Ricasa, his girlfriend of three years, on Friday as Ricasa was being interviewed on ESPN before the annual Fourth of July Nathan's Famous hot dog-eating contest.

Chestnut, 30, later won the competition for the eighth consecutive time by eating 61 hot dogs in 10 minutes. (In 2013, he downed 69 dogs.)

From ESPN:

The 61 hot dogs and buns equates to 23,790 calories, 1,189.5 grams of fat, 60,390 milligrams of sodium, 2,245 grams of carbohydrates and 793 grams of protein.

Chestnut was followed by Matt Stonie, who ate 56 hot dogs, and Tim "Eater X" Janus, who managed 44.
