A gas line reportedly exploded around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Louisiana 60 and Louisiana 1072 in Washington Parish, about 65 miles north of New Orleans. WDSU reported around 6:17 a.m. local time that officials and hazardous materials crews were on their way to the scene. No injuries have been reported.

According to WWLTV, witnesses saw a bright orange light and reported a funny smell. A local radio station reports that 10,000 are without power.
