The Incredible Strangeness Of Video Game Voice Acting
Haven't I heard that voice before?
Did you know that Andrew Ryan, the bad guy from BioShock, and Quark from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine are the SAME PERSON?
Yep, that's good old Armin Shimerman.
Oh, and you know Kratos and Mace Windu from the Clone Wars TV show?
Yeah, they're both voiced by Terrence Carson. Who you might also recognize as Kyle, the conceited player from Living Single.
Maybe less surprising: Alyx Vance from Half-Life 2 and Marlene from The Last of Us.
Who are wearing what appears to be the same outfit, and who look like cousins.
Well, they're both brought to life by Merle Dandridge.
And how about Jake the Dog and Marcus Fenix?
Both played by John DiMaggio. Who is also Bender. Beast.
Also, Ezio from Assassin's Creed 2 and the narrator from Say Yes to the Dress.
We have Roger Craig Smith to thank for all of that joy.
Plus, Lee from The Walking Dead and Commander Kellogg from Archer.1
Say hello to Dave Fennoy.
Then there's Samus from Metroid Prime and Commander Shepard from Mass Effect.
And let's not forget about Daffy Duck from Space Jam and Capcom's Viewtiful Joe
Both the work of Mr. Dee Bradley Baker.
