Console Launch Ads Do Not Age Well

The weird, the wacky, and the unintentionally hilarious, from 1977-2006.

The next three weeks will see the launch of two major new consoles, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. That means, of course, a major marketing blitz from both Sony and Microsoft. While ads from both companies have already been hailed as terrifically clever, it's important to remember that time is not always kind to ads for new game consoles. Quite the opposite:
