Charlotte, NC — Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has at least one vote in his pocket for Majority Leader if Republicans take the Senate in November — controversial Rep. Todd Akin.

"I'm fully behind him," Akin said during an appearance on Fox with Neil Cavuto, when asked if he would be able to work with McConnell, who has called for him to quit his Senate race.

Akin, who has become persona non grata within the GOP after his "legitimate rape" comments, also used the chance to express his support for Vice Presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan, with whom he has authored controversial abortion legislation.

"I'm fully behind our great team of Ryan who I work with in the House," Akin noted.
