666 Reasons To Listen To The Debut Episode Of "Internet Explorer" Podcast

Welcome to the first episode of BuzzFeed's Internet Explorer, a new and probably ill-advised podcast.

Hey! It's Katie Notopoulos and Ryan Broderick and we are insanely pumped for our first podcast. We've basically spent our entire adult lives shriveled up in front of a monitor under a pile of empty Mountain Dew cans, looking at bad websites, just waiting for the moment we could finally unleash this knowledge on the world (ok maybe not quite the Mountain Dew piles because we're actually pretty normal IRL, despite how much time we've spent on 4chan).

And it's finally here.

Subscribe to it on iTunes or Stitcher, too, if you want to be cool. But whatever, we're not your mom.

BuzzFeed's Internet Explorer podcast is about all the weird and wonderful rabbit holes of this terrible/fantastic internet that we love so much. There will be guests, quizzes, and more. It's gonna be great. Just trust us.

Think about it like this: there's nothing better than stumbling across something totally weird while surfing the internet. Like finding a cartoon of Sonic The Hedgehog going through male pregnancy. But how do you find it if you don't want to sift through thousands of pages of weird fan art? That's why we're here for you.

We decided to take our skill of ruining parties by bringing up things like subreddits where men ejaculate on anime figurines, dragon-shaped dildos, and the adult baby fetish community and turn it into a podcast.

For us, the internet not just as a place to see the latest news about Harry Styles or download One Direction songs, but as a place where you can read your favorite genre of literature: fanfiction about Harry Styles being impregnated by his bandmate Louis. Why does male pregnancy keep coming up? Look, we don't have all the answers. I'm sorry.

To celebrate the first episode of Internet Explorer we decided to share two of our own internet firsts.

Katie talks about the first time she was banned from a social network (Friendster; for posting p0rn), and more recently the Q&A site Quora. Ryan tells the tale of his first experience with 4chan's wrath when he became the target of the "BattleToads" prank.

We hope you'll love BuzzFeed's Internet Explorer. Think of it this way: we're going to find and look at all the crazy stuff out there so that you don't have to. We've been wasting years of our lives surfing the internet and we have so much to show you.
