Brian Kilmeade, co-host of Fox News' Fox and Friends told the spokesman of the English Defense League, a group that opposes the spread of Islam, the he stood by them during an interview on his radio show Monday.
Tommy Robinson, the EDL's spokesman, spoke to Kilmeade about Sharia law, how Muslims planned a "takeover" of the government, and how they were "openly committing treason."
"There's a two-tier policing system in our country where Islam is treated like a master race," Robinson said. "So we started taking to the streets. We had no other option ... We're not asking for all Muslims to leave this country, we're just saying the ideology needs to reform. We want peace but we haven't got peace and it needs to be tackled."
Kilmeade responded saying, "We got your back" and "We'll definitely look to keep in touch. ... It's great what you're doing."
Kilmeade later tweeted a link to the EDL's website.
