Chuck Norris Is Netanyahu's Last Weapon In A Tight Election

The American movie star also endorsed the conservative politician in 2013's elections.

With Israelis heading to the polls tomorrow, the race for control of the country is too close to call. But Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has one last trick up his sleeve: Chuck Norris.

In the minute long campaign ad, Norris praised Netanyahu's speech to the U.S. Congress saying he saw "a man who loves his country with all his heart and soul."

He also called Netanyahu "a strong leader, which is crucial to the security of the Israeli people."

The 75-year-old actor noted that he's filmed three movies in Israel —"Delta Force being my favorite" — and made many friends there. Last year, Norris credited that movie and its Israeli producer with being the "real reason for the breakthrough of my movie career."

"You have an incredible country, and we want to keep it that way," Norris said, stressing the necessity of "keeping a leader with a vision" against the evil forces that threaten Israel and the United States.

This isn't the former fictional Texas Ranger's first foray into Israeli politics. He also endorsed Netanyahu back in 2013, though only in voiceover form.

Netanyahu's campaign made sure to blast out the endorsement on Twitter. But in an election where economics are taking precedent over security, it's unclear if Norris' endorsement will land a solid hit.

Thank you for the campaign support @chucknorris ! http://t.co/ZdNIVrUHRn #israelex
