The U.S. and its allies appear to have conducted further airstrikes against oil fields controlled by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in eastern Syria, according to a group monitoring the conflict in the country.
A monitoring group says more strikes against militant positions took place overnight.
Reuters reported claims by the Syrian Observatory for Human RIghts that strikes hit the al-Tanak oil field area in the eastern province of Deir al-Zor, close to the Iraqi border.
The region is almost entirely controlled by ISIS militants, and was one of Syria's main oil-producing areas until the country's civil war erupted three years ago.
There were other apparent airstrikes in the al-Quriyah area, also apparently carried out by U.S.-led forces, the monitoring group said.
The group added that there were casualties, but did not give details.
