President Obama Briefed On Situation In Ferguson

After attending a birthday party in Martha's Vineyard Thursday night, President Obama was briefed on the unfolding situation in Missouri.

WASHINGTON — The White House said President Obama was been briefed on the situation after attending a birthday party with top Democrats while on vacation in Martha's Vineyard.

The President was briefed tonight by Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett and Attorney General Eric Holder on the situation in Ferguson.

On a different front, following the arrest of Washington Post reporter Wesley Lowery and Huffington Post reporter Ryan Reilly Thursday, the top spokesperson for the Justice Department expressed support for the arrested reporters:
