The Israeli Defense Forces have launched an investigation after a video of armed soldiers dancing with young Palestinians in a Hebron club appeared online. The Jerusalem Post reports that a group of soldiers from the elite Givati Brigade were patrolling the Jabara neighborhood of Hebron Monday night when they heard the song "Gangam Style" coming from a nearby club and decided to make a detour.

Israel's Channel 2 reports that the club in question is "frequented by members of a Palestinian clan known for its pro-Hamas tendencies." A video of the unlikely gathering, reportedly a wedding celebration, shows gun-toting, uniformed soldiers dancing and even being lifted onto the shoulders of Palestinian partygoers.

On Thursday, a military spokesman told The Guardian that they consider the incident serious, adding that "the soldiers exposed themselves to unnecessary danger and were disciplined accordingly." The Jerusalem Post reports that the soldiers have been suspended from duty until the end of the investigation.
