A Bunch Of People Are Stuck On Cruise Ships Due To The Blizzard

The real victims of Snowstorm Jonas.

Sure, you think you've got it rough, trudging through snow in frosty and frigid conditions due to Snowstorm Jonas, the massive blizzard that's been pummeling the U.S. East Coast...

But did you know the storm is so bad it's forcing people on vacation to have to STAY on vacation for even longer?!?

That's right, at least two shiploads of lucky SOBs are having their holidays extended by a day because their ships can't return to U.S. ports.

Maryland's Department of Transportation announced Friday it was shuttering a Baltimore port for the whole weekend, meaning the Royal Caribbean ship "Grandeur of the Seas" will have to come in Monday, instead of Sunday.

Additionally, the cruise company says its "Anthem of the Seas" ship will also be a day late returning to port in Bayonne, New Jersey.

The delay will cause a headache for Royal Caribbean, who have to push back other cruises by a day. But passengers on board didn't seem too fazed...

"I was not totally surprised and, frankly, happy to be delayed," passenger Meg Ryan of New Jersey told the Associated Press.

"First, it is an extra day of vacation, but more importantly, safety comes first and travel Sunday would be difficult, if not impossible," she said.

Good luck, you poor souls!
