This Dildo Flag Was Mistaken For An "ISIS Flag" By CNN

Oh, dear.

This is a flag known by some as the Black Banner. The flag contains two parts of the shahada, an Arabic declaration of Islamic faith which asserts that Allah is the one true God and that Muhammad is his prophet.

It's been co-opted by ISIS as a symbol of its brutal militancy.

This is a flag that was flown at London's Pride Parade on Saturday that is composed of a bunch of sex toys.

ISIS at #LondonPride The best ever 🙌 داعش هههههه

Here's a closer look. See? There's a few dildos, some butt plugs, and a couple of other things you weren't taught about in sex-ed.

@PerezHiIton2Day CNN trolled by dildo covered fake ISIS flag at London Pride.

CNN didn't look close enough, though. On Saturday it ran this report on the disturbing "ISIS flag" which was spotted by its international assignment editor Lucy Pawle.

"This man dressed in black and white was waving what appears to be a very bad mimicry, but a very clear attempt to mimic the ISIS flag," Pawle said, as her face was shown next to a flag with a bunch of phallic sex toys on it.

"If you look at the flag closely, it's clearly not Arabic," she said. "In fact, it looks like it could be gobbledygook."

Gobbledygook? Yes. Sure thing, you innocent little creature.

"I seem to be the only person who had spotted this! And nobody seems to be raising any questions or pointing it out!"

Yes. Quite the scoop.

When Twitter users began pointing out Pawle's mistake, she still maintained she had never reported on a giant flag with a bunch of dildos on it.

CNN staff have since removed the segment from their website.
