WASHINGTON — Tara Wall, the Republican National Committee's senior strategist for media and engagement, is no longer with the organization, a spokesperson for the RNC confirmed to BuzzFeed News.

Wall was one of the most seasoned black operatives at the RNC. In recent months, Wall had been focused on producing short one-on-one videos with Republican candidates, including a recent interview with Donald Trump. She also interviewed John Kasich, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, and Carly Fiorina.

Wall is a close ally to Ed Gillespie, the former Senate candidate who recently announced his candidacy for governor in Virginia.

The RNC has reportedly hired an operative from Florida named Lucas Boyce, who is also black, to replace Wall, several sources told BuzzFeed News.

Wall is also an entrepreneur with her own production company, Princess Tara Productions. Mitt Romney hired Wall in the spring of 2012 as senior communications adviser to the campaign handling black outreach.

Wall did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
