WASHINGTON — DeRay Mckesson, the Black Lives Matter activist turned candidate for Baltimore mayor, will begin rolling out actual web videos on Friday.

The two videos, titled ‘Together We Will Win’ and ‘Love Is The Why,’ were made by a Democratic firm, Chi/Donahoe, which has worked on campaigns for Elizabeth Warren, Terry McAuliffe, and Bill de Blasio.

Mckesson announced his candidacy on Feb. 3. Since then he has raised more than $76,000 according to Crowdpac, as he tries to translate his profile as a protester and organizer into political success.

Designed for social, the videos will be part of Mckesson’s newly-launched campaign website. 'Love Is The Why' features the activist's father, Calvin Mckesson.

“Baltimore is a city of promise and possibility,” he says in ‘Together We Will Win’. “The traditional pathways to politics and the politicians who follow them have never led us to the transformational change that our city deserves. I'm not an insider. But I am an activist, an organizer, an educator, a brother, a son and a citizen of Baltimore — someone who knows that this city is a city of promise and that it can be more than it is today."
