Four People Dead After Small Plane Crashes In Florida

The pilot and three passengers have not been identified.

A small plane crashed near the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport on Sunday afternoon, and officials said the four people on board were killed.

The Piper PA-31 plane declared an emergency around 4:30 p.m. E.T. before crashing, the Sun Sentinel reported. The cause was not immediately known.

Jean Rollin Deshommes said the crash took place within feet of his office.

The identities of the victims have not been released, pending notification of family.
