Congressional Staffers Walk Out In Protest Of Michael Brown, Eric Garner Cases

The staffers raised their hands on the steps of the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., to show solidarity with protesters and families of the black men who were killed by white police officers.

Dozens of congressional staffers walked off the job Thursday afternoon to protest the lack of charges against the police officers who killed Michael Brown and Eric Garner.

The walkout was organized by the Congressional Asian Pacific American Staff Association, the Congressional Hispanic Staff Association, and the Congressional Black Associates. Senate Chaplain Barry Black led staffers in prayer outside the Capitol.
