An MMA Fighter Live-Tweeted His Standoff With The SWAT Team

The Orange County Sheriff's Department said it was attempting to serve an arrest warrant at the home of Jason "Mayhem" Miller in Mission Viejo, California. Update: He surrendered around 2:15 p.m. Pacific Time.

MMA fighter Jason "Mayhem" Miller barricaded himself inside his Orange County, California, home Thursday as deputies attempted to serve an arrest warrant.

Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said Miller was wanted on suspicion of domestic violence and stalking. Deputies did not believe anyone else was inside the home.

After two hours, Miller remained inside the home as SWAT team and negotiators responded. Hallock said it was unclear if he had any type of weapon.

"We don't know and that's why we have to proceed with caution," Hallock said.

In addition to his fighting career, Miller hosted Bully Beatdown, a reality show on MTV, and also appeared as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter.

The 33-year-old began tweeting from inside the home as the law enforcement response grew outside.

i need to tell everyone about the absolute waste of resources going on outside of my house right now. i am counting no less than 5 officers.

they also have allocated use of a chopper, which cost approx. 12 Grand an Hour to operate, along with taking time away from REAL emergencies

..who continues to remind me that they are here serving a warrant for my arrest. I have not committed any crime, but yet i am forced HERE.

He denied committing any crime and blamed his circumstances on the woman he had been involved with.

FEARING FOR MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF MY DOG, @GATORHOTDOGDOG. All of this could have been avoided, had the state of California provided

Mental health services for one single mother immigrant from the Philipines, who I know was well intentioned, but has a mental condition...

now i have to pay a debt for her mistakes

He was arrested on two felony counts of domestic violence, stalking, and violating a protective order in 2013. He was released on $350,000 bond and pleaded not guilty to the charges in July.

i have the proper paper work, at my office in @VaporLabsIrvine, i was due to go to court this morning, but the LFPD chase me all last night.

i woke up late, and couldn't leave because there is a highly equipment regiment of wanna be soldiers outside my house reminding me that,

ALL THIS because I wanted to help raise a young boy into a man, and his mama wenr off her meds, and an ambitious DA thinks mayhem is BAD.

As of 1:15 p.m. Pacific Time, Miller remained barricaded in the home, Hallock said, and deputies were working on talking with him for a peaceful resolution.

I WISH YOU NO HARM. I respect the Police, but this is overkill, for something that would be settled with one piece of paperwork from OCBAIL

i now see a literal Armored Personal Carrier pulling up. They tryna to murder me. I just want a peaceful solution.

The law enforcement response prompted Miller, who is white, to say he understands injustice faced by black men.

I did nothing wrong. This is the state of American Justice. I feel you black men. They fear, so they threaten to take our lives. Abhorrent.
