Seinfeld creator and Saturday Night Live alum Larry David appeared on Saturday’s show as presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, a pair whose physical similarities spawned a slew of comparisons since the first Democratic debate.
Like, it's quite scary...
David, who was a writer for the show in the ‘80s, made his surprise appearance as Sanders alongside SNL favorite Alec Baldwin, who played Sanders’ presidential competitor Jim Webb.
Fans were loving it.
Sanders was a crowd-pleaser at Tuesday's debate after telling Hillary Clinton that "America is sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails," before shaking her hand.
Obviously, SNL's resident Clinton impersonator Kate McKinnon reenacted the bonding moment.
After the debate, Sanders' distinct New York accent and white-haired, glasses-wearing appearance resonated with David fans.
Fans also couldn’t help but reference David’s HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm, including this debate/Curb mashup dubbed “Bern Your Enthusiasm.” Enjoy.
But now, skeptical fans are left wondering, "ARE they the same person?"
