The Queen's Granddaughter Has Given Birth To A Royal Baby Girl

Buckingham Palace has announced that Zara Phillips has brought a new member of the royal family into the world.

The Queen's granddaughter, Zara Phillips, has given birth to a baby girl.

The baby's girl weighs 7lb, 5oz and her name will be released "in due course."

This is Zara Phillips' and her husband, rugby player Mike Tindall's first child together. She is 16th in line for the throne.

The new member of the royal family is the Queen's fourth great-grandchild.

A statement released by Buckingham Palace has said the queen, her husband Prince Philip and the baby's grandparents "are delighted with the news."
