Egyptian Soldiers Under Attack In Ismailiya

Gunmen have killed at least five Egyptian soldiers in the Suez Canal city of Ismailiya, as a large car bomb also hits security forces building.

Gunmen have opened fire and killed five Egyptian soldiers while they were sitting in a car outside a security checkpoint. Sky News reports a large car bomb has also exploded outside a four-story security forces building in al-Tour, killing two and wounding at least 48. A rocket attack is also said to have hit a satellite station in the suburbs of Cairo.

The attacks against security forces in Ismailiya comes after 34 violent deaths in Cairo on what was meant to be a day of peace in the country.
