A Security Training Facility Near Karachi Airport Has Been Attacked

Following Sunday's deadly attack by the Taliban, insurgents raid Karachi airport's security academy.

According to the Associated Press, gunmen attacked a training center for airport security personnel near Karachi’s international airport.

Gunshots were heard at the training facility and Pakistani television stations showed images of security guards running to the scene and taking position around the building.

A spokesman for the Airport Security Force, Ghulam Abbas Memon, said the attack occurred when then gunmen tried to enter the building from two different entrances.

The Civil Aviation Authority has said that all the flights at Karachi international airport have been suspended because the academy for the ASF was under attack.

It's not known how many gunmen were involved in the attack or if there were any casualties.

There are unconfirmed reports that this second attack at the airport is also the Pakistani Taliban.
