Huntsman Talk Is (Relatively) Cheap

A paid speech by the former candidate costs about as much as one from former Senator Chris Dodd, a source tells BuzzFeed.

Former Utah Governor, Ambassador, and presidential candidate Jon Huntsman recently became the latest pol to hit the speaking circuit, which — as BuzzFeed recently documented (below) — can be a lucrative source of income for public figures, and a reliable metric of interest in their words.

Huntsman, a speaking industry source said, is asking between $30,000 and $40,000 per speech, depending on its location.

That puts him on the relative low end of public figures, far below the six-figure stratosphere occupied by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Al Gore, Dick Cheney, and Sarah Palin, and just a touch below what former Congressman and current television host Joe Scarborough asks.
