Ann Romney: It's Time To 'Coalesce'

Says it's time for Republicans to fall in behind Romney. Zeke Miller reports from Illinois.

VERNON HILLS, Ill. — Ann Romney effectively declared the end to the Republican primary season, encouraging her husband's opponents and their supporters to fall in line behind her husband.

"We need to send a message that it's time to coalesce," she told a crowded town hall here. "It’s time for us to come together. It’s time for us to get behind one candidate, and get the job done, so we can move on to the next job — bringing us one step closer to defeating Barack Obama."

Romney's allies have repeatedly suggesting it's time to put an end to the primary, but his wife's voice is the most prominent to make that case.
