Andrew Cuomo Times Release Of Embarrassing Letter To National Tragedy

The New York Governor had resisted releasing a 2,200-word letter to the New York Times, which protests way too much about business groups' influence on him. He finally released it to a Westchester newspaper today.

UPDATE: Cuomo spokesman Richard Bamberger did not respond directly to a question about the timing of the letter's release, which came after the deadline for responding to a Freedom of Information Law request from BuzzFeed had passed.

He did say in an email: "There is no embarrassing news in a letter we sent to a newspaper."
