The number of Republicans officially running for U.S. president in 2016 doubled this week after three new candidates formally kicked off their campaigns. Which of the following did NOT declare their presidential run this week?

Carly Fiorina, Ben Carson, and Mike Huckabee all announced their candidacies this week. All three are considered long-shots for the White House, and they will probably lean harder on their fringe status to stand out — and in doing so, will shape the tenor and discourse of the race. Earlier this week, the U.S. Department of Justice launched a review of its secretive cell phone surveillance program after pressure from Congress and civil liberties groups for more transparency. The program uses devices that allow law enforcement agencies to collect unique, and often sensitive, identifying information of users. What are these devices called?

"Stingrays" are essentially cell site simulators that act like cell phone towers which allows law enforcement agencies to collect unique, and often sensitive, identifying information from nearby mobile phones. ISIS has claimed responsibility for Sunday's attack on an event in the U.S. that invited people to draw the Prophet Muhammad. Where did the attack take place?

The event took place in Garland, Texas. It was organized by Pamela Geller of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, which is known for its anti-Muslim stance. The White House described Sunday’s shooting at a Muhammad cartoon event in Texas [as an “attempted terrorist attack,”](http://www.buzzfeed.com/buzzfeednews/shooting-at-prophet-muhammad-drawing-contest-texas-police?sub=3770537_5671407&utm_term=.haED9wKgz#.veze7aZnM) but said it is unclear if ISIS was involved in the incident, though the group claimed responsibility.

In a new report released this week, Amnesty International accused Syria of using a specific type of crudely made explosive to kill more than 3,000 civilians in and around Syria’s second largest city of Aleppo since the start of 2014. What is this type of explosive called?

The U.K. general election took this place week, and it was one of the more interesting and dramatic U.K. elections ever given the shifts in political power dynamics since the last time the U.K. went to the polls. When was the last time the U.K. had A GENERAL election?

And a lot has changed in the five years in between. Historically, the U.K. general elections are a fight between two dominant parties, Labour and the Conservatives. But smaller parties gained traction over the last five years as the public grew increasingly disillusioned with the two major parties — mainly because of the economy. So this election was more fractured than ever before. The Conservatives outperformed expectations and won the general election, by the way. A fresh wave of violent protests broke out in Burundi this week after the country’s constitutional court approved a contentious decision recently made by the president. What was that decision?

Burundi President Pierre Nkurunziza announced his re-election bid in late April, arguing that his first term "did not count" because he was [appointed president by the parliament](http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-32588658) following the end of the country's civil war in 2005. The Burundi elections are scheduled to take place June 26.

This week, \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ became the first American city to create a reparations fund for victims of police torture.

On Wednesday, Chicago's City Council unanimously approved a $5.5 million fund for individuals who suffered police torture between the 1970s to the early 1990s. A major American airline will begin operating weekly flights between New York and Havana, Cuba, this summer. Which airline?

"The new flight will travel between John F.
