Hacks vs. Flacks

Wired editor (and Long Tail author) Chris Anderson opened a Pandora's box recently by publicly outing 329 PR people who had indiscriminately spammed him.

Since then, publicists have been expressing righteous indignation, searching their souls, promising to mend their ways, and declaring war on one another. Is anybody getting any work done?
