Gas Out

Mass emails have been sent out encouraging drivers to boycott gasoline on May 15th.

While boycotting gasoline for one day will hardly make a dent in the pockets of the oil companies, it's still nice to think of ways to decrease gasoline consumption. It'll also be an interesting human experiment to see if chain letters actually work (we never got our postcards or our free oral pleasure).

Editorial note: Whoa! You've found a super-old post here on BuzzFeed, from an earlier era of the site. It doesn't really represent where we are anymore, and may in fact be totally broken, but we're leaving it up as a part of our early history.
