Yes, The League Has Said It Will Match Apple Watch Users

Elites!

The League, a new dating app best described as Tinder-but-for-Stanford-grads, announced to users Monday night that it's going to begin matching Apple Watch users together.

No word on whether that means they'll be developing their own app for the Watch, or just finding people who list themselves as Apple Watch owners on their Linkedin profiles and matching them up together.

The League often sends out jokey notifications, so it's not completely clear to what degree it is being serious here. The intended purpose of yoking the be-Watched is also unclear: Is the point that Apple Watch users would prefer to communicate via the watch with potential partners who also own one, or is it more about elitists — or at least tech snobs — wanting to date other elitists?

The League also called it the iWatch, which I'm presenting without comment because I'm not a nerd.

BuzzFeed News has reached out to The League for comment.
