Appears that @Square used a pixel Harriet Tubman for their $20 on the Cash Watch app.
On Monday, Square announced that its Square Cash app was coming to the Apple Watch. It included pictorial representations of physical currency, with one change: Harriet Tubman, not Andrew Jackson, appears on the app's $20 bill.
The app's currency representation choice follows a campaign to put Tubman on the $20 and oust Andrew Jackson — a President oft-accused of engineering a genocide and who was opposed to paper currency — from our wallets forever. But, the U.S. Treasury opted to put a woman on the $10 bill instead. We'll see its new design in 2020.
Square decided to take action.
"We put Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill because she is an American hero," a Square spokesperson told BuzzFeed News, confirming that the tiny cartoon was, in fact, supposed to represent Tubman.
Square Cash is a way to digitally send, and request, money. It works from person-to-person (like Venmo) or from person-to-business. The Apple Watch app lets users transfer payments in specific amounts of money, as if handing over real bills, just from their wrist.
It also, it turns out, provides some wish fulfillment.
