WANTED FOR: the Oklahoma City bombing, where he detonated a massive bomb outside a federal building, killing 168 people and injuring over 800.
FOUND: 90 minutes after the bombing by an Oklahoma state trooper.
FATE: executed by lethal injection on June 11, 2001.
2. Ted Kaczynski (aka The Unabomber)
WANTED FOR: engaging in a domestic bombing campaign between 1978 and 1995, killing 3 and injuring 23.
FOUND: living in a secluded cabin in Lincoln, Montana, after his mother and brother identified his published handwriting and alerted the FBI.
FATE: life in prison without chance of parole.
3. The Beltway Snipers
WANTED FOR: killing 10 and injuring 3 people with a sniper rifle in the metropolitan D.C. area.
FOUND: sleeping in their dark blue 1990 Chevy Caprice at a Maryland rest stop.
FATE: John Allen Muhammad was found guilty and executed by lethal injection on Nov. 10, 2009.
FATE: Lee Boyd Malvo received six life sentences without possibility of parole.
4. Iraqi Dictator Saddam Hussein
WANTED FOR: crimes against humanity
FOUND: living is a small underground crawlspace under a farmhouse in ad-Dawr near the city of Tikrit.
FATE: sentenced to death by an Iraqi court and executed on Dec. 30, 2006.
5. 9/11 Mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed
WANTED FOR: acts of terrorism, including mass murder of civilians.
Mohammed has allegedly also confessed playing a role in two notorious bombings.
FOUND: hiding in a safe house in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
FATE: has remained in U.S. custody since 2006. Awaiting trial.
6. Lybian President Moammar Gadhafi
WANTED FOR: multiple human rights abuses and support of international terrorism.
FOUND: hiding inside drainage pipes in a construction site near Sirte, Libya.
FATE: executed by mob without trial.
7. Al-Qaeda Leader Osama bin Laden
WANTED FOR: international acts of terrorism, mass murder.
FOUND: hiding in a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, with members of his family and inner circle.
FATE: was killed in a joint operation by American Special Forces on the night of May 2, 2011.
8. Chris Dorner
WANTED FOR: the shooting deaths of four people, including two police officers.
FOUND: after a four-hour chase, hiding in a cabin in Angelus Oaks, California.
FATE: The cabin was set on fire by local law enforcement, and Dorner perished in the fire.
