Al Gore Doing The Macarena

In 1996, the Macarena was the #1 song in the country.

And delegates loved dancing it at the DNC convention in Chicago in 1996.

They would play the song before the program and delegates would pop out of their chairs.

Some were better than others.

Crazy hat ladies got into it.

The sign language lady did this on stage.

This guy got really technical with it.

And these two were adorable.

I'm telling you, adorable.

This crazy lady got confused and did this:

It was just a better time for everyone in the world, in general.

Their dancing was so good, Al Gore opened his convention speech like:

Then he said:

And he just stood there for an awkwardly long amount of time.

This was mocking his own reputation for stiffness.
