The #FindAMissingPerson hashtag was created to bring awareness to the thousands of people who go missing in the U.S. each year. We challenge you, the internet at large, to help find these 55 missing people.

The FBI's National Crime Information Center contained 84,136 active missing person records, as of December 31, 2013. Of those, people under the age of 18 accounted for 33,849 (40%) records.

BuzzFeed News reached out to law enforcement officials about each missing persons case and all new available information provided is included in the profiles below.

Known Aliases: Theresa Andrews and Theresa Dulaney

Theresa was last seen on Oct. 19, 2014, on her way to Talladega Motor Speedway in Lincoln, Alabama, according to the Talladega County Sheriff's Office. Authorities are unsure whether or not she ever made it to the racetrack. Theresa was last seen wearing blue jeans, pink cowboy boots, a black tank top, and a rhinestone-covered belt.

The family of Brandon Lee Jividen and Rebecca Adams were last seen in late May, 2014, in Kenai, Alaska, according to Kenai Police Chief Gus Sandahl. Sandahl told BuzzFeed News that locating the family is of the police department's "highest priority" and additional searches could happen if more information becomes available. The family is comprised of Brandon, Rebecca, and Rebecca's two daughters, Michelle and Jaracca Hundley.

Brandon and his mother, Paula Wade (shown here), were last seen on Oct. 14, 2002, at their home in Valdosta, Georgia, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. They have not been seen or heard from since their disappearance and are believed to be endangered. Brandon's photo has been age-progressed to 14 years. Paula could be going by the last name of McGrath.

Tiffanie has been missing since November 7, 2014, Sullivan City Police told BuzzFeed News, when she left her father's house with the intention of going to her mother's one block away. She never showed up and her phone has since been shut off, along with no new Facebook posts. Tiffanie is approximately eight months pregnant.

Geraldine was last heard from on July 22, 2013, when she texted her husband during her hiking venture of the Appalachian Trail, according to the Portland Press Herald. She had plans to meet him in Wyman Township, eight miles north of Poplar Ridge lean-to, where she spent the night, but never showed up.

Jason left the University of Nebraska-Kearney on Oct. 22, 2014, according to Panhandle Post. His last known location was at an ATM (see above) in downtown Denver, Colorado. Police believe to have found his car at the Colorado Trailhead southeast of Bailey, Colorado, according to ABC 7.

Mila was last seen on June 2, 2014, in Cresskill, New Jersey, according to nj.com. She was wearing a gray sweatshirt, pajama pants, and brown Converse sneakers. She wasn't living at home at the time, but instead staying at a friend's house, according to her Twitter account.
