Serena Williams Rocked Up In A Black Panther-Inspired Catsuit At The French Open And Honestly, What A Queen

"I feel like a warrior princess."

This is Serena Williams: brand new mama, fashion trendsetter, and THE greatest tennis player of all time*.

She recently returned to compete in her first grand slam after taking 14 months off for maternity leave.

And she's back smashing it, winning her first two matches at Roland-Garros (one singles, one doubles with sister Venus)...AND killing it in a Black Panther-inspired catsuit.

You see, normally women tennis players wear a dress or a skirt in competition.

Now, I know tennis should be about athleticism, not what the athletes wear. Fair. But in Serena's case, her unconventional kit has a functional purpose. It's not just a gimmick.

Catsuit anyone? For all the moms out there who had a tough recovery from pregnancy—here you go. If I can do it, so can you. Love you all!! https://t.co/xXb3BKDGNF

After a particularly difficult birth, Serena said she's had to wear pants when she plays to keep the blood circulation going.

"Yeah, the catsuit, I had a lot of problems with my blood clots ... It’s a fun suit, but it’s also functional so I can be able to play without any problems," Serena said at a press conference following her first win at Roland-Garros.

“I feel like a warrior in it, like a warrior princess kind of queen from Wakanda maybe."

And people agree it's 100% a superhero MOOD.

Some Superhero wear capes, some wear a black catsuit. You are an inspiration Miss Williams. Thank you #SerenaWilliams #FRENCHOPEN #Tennis https://t.co/ZbbVp3nz3s

She's stunning everyone both in her tennis game and her fashion game.

@serenawilliams Love this tweet and love that catsuit. Cats always land on their feet #Winning

    She's a true inspiration.

I've been unable to run for the past 6 months due to blood flow issues. As someone who ran 6-10 miles a day this has been really tough. @serenawilliams has me inspired. Bring on the catsuit!

The warrior is back, you guys. Watch her slay.
