Last Thursday, President Obama apologized for repeatedly telling Americans that "if you like your health plan, you will be able to keep your health plan" under Obamacare.
"I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me," Obama said in an interview with NBC from the White House. "We've got to work hard to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this."
According to a report from the Associated Press, it is estimated that 3.5 million people have now had their plans canceled under the law. The latest estimates show around 50,000 people have signed up, and 275,000 people tried, and failed, to sign up due to the glitch-plagued website.
