When Mitt Romney Dropped An F-Bomb

From the Kaczynski files. Denies the expletive but admits he said "H-E-double hockey sticks."

It's one of the legendary Romney anecdotes, as reported at the time by the Salt Lake Tribune and Boston Globe.

In February of 2002, when Mitt Romney was still in charge of the Winter Olympics, he found himself in a dispute with a local 18 year old volunteer who was helping direct traffic. The traffic volunteer, Shaun Knopp said that Romney "asked me who the f*ck I was and what the f*ck I was doing. We got the Olympics going on we don't need this shit down here."

Weber County Sherif Office Capt. Terry Shaw, who was the commander of the Snowbasin venue, said that Romney also twice said 'fuck' while angrily belittling one of his officers, Deputy Kodi Taggart. Capt. Shaw added that he told Romney unsuccessfully that he needed to apologize.

Romney denied dropping and F-bomb in the incident, but mentioned he did use the word "H-E-double hockey sticks."

The Utah Department of Safety stated that it had decided against initiating a "profanity probe."
